Photo Day 21: Friday Night View

For those of you avoiding the bars tonight, a reminder of what you're missing.

Photo Day 20: Cracked

It only looks like she broke the tile. Unless she's made of neutronium.

Photo Day 19: Blue

I didn't know this would be a good picture until after I took it.

A lot of stuff is like that.

Photo Day 17: Sprawling Cat

Usually I put up a picture on Sunday. But this Sunday I had family in town and the closing night of my play (Grief by David Kantounas), and so I skipped.

Right now I have a husky voice, a nose like a faucet, and lots of work to do.

The cat represents how I feel.

Photo Day 16: Water Dance

On the plaza at Lincoln Center, passers-by see a video projected in slow motion on a screen affixed to the south wall of the plaza. The events in the video don't make logical sense, but they're pretty to look at. On one night, many people saw fit to wipe the rain from the granite seat around the fountain in the center of the plaza so that they could sit and watch.

That's when I took this picture.

Photo Day 14: Bunnies Never Lie

Most times when I post a picture, it needs only a short description. But this is poetry.

LISTENING TO THE BIRDS SING AGAIN... Tweet tweet. STOP SMOKING BEFORE YOUR KIDS START.

Love Is Better Than Anything. LOVE NEEDS HONESTY (Look into my eyes)

KISSING A DIRTY ASHTRAY IS NEVER Loving. LIVING BETTER -LONGER-.

Love Is Better Than Anything.

LOVING IS NOT SMOKING. (Bunnies Never lie.)

Photo Day 13: Rain Swept

En route to the gym, it started to rain. I stood under a construction scaffold--here in New York, they're called sidewalk sheds--and took a few pictures. This is one.

Photo Day 12: No Stranger, Just Future

An advertisement on a bus shelter, edited by cropping. I liked the result.

Photo Day 9: Odd Crop

The Upper East Side. The picture comes from an odd crop of photos that I took in the past twenty-four hours. I took it while holding the camera at my waist. The photography gods were kind.

At the Dog Beach in Prospect Park, at one end of The Pools.

Photo Day 6: Paper Heart

Paper heart. The metaphor is a bit obvious. That's alright.

I made the heart and its photograph quickly and without thinking much about it.

That's alright, too.

Photo Day 5: Sneakers for Sale

Sneakers. Taken on July 4th. Posted on July 6th. Sort of.

Photo Day 3: Brooklyn Bridge

From Brooklyn Bridge Park. It's sort of an obvious picture to take. There's an implied frame that I failed to use. I will pretend that that was on purpose.

Photo Day 1: Gowanus Canal

Gowanus Canal

Famously polluted (it's now a SuperFund site), the Gowanus Canal is also lovely to look at, in a stark, ruined sort of a way.
